for serving veterans in eastern Colorado and parts of Kansas is warning
more than 2,100 veterans that their personal information may have been
compromised.

<p>The department says the information was released when an employee
emailed unencrypted documents to their personal email accounts.</p>
<p>Information released by the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System
said Wednesday that the information includes the veteran's full name,
last four digits of their Social Security number and a medical
diagnosis.</p>
<p>The agency is sending letters to all who might be affected of the potential disclosure of their information.</p>
<p>The Veteran's Administration says it is investigating and taking steps to prevent future incidents.</p>
