A data breach reported by a Minnesota company has implications for
those who pay by card at several cafes and restaurant chains,
including Dunn Bros. Coffee.

North Country Business Products, based in Bemidji, provides point of
sale services to many businesses in Minnesota and out of state.

On Tuesday, it announced that it had been the victim of a recent data
breach that may have resulted in hackers accessing payment information
of those who used credit and debit cards at certain restaurants
between Jan. 3 and Jan. 24.

The breach was caused by Malware, but has since been fixed.
Information potentially compromised include names, credit card
numbers, expiration dates and CVV security numbers.

Restaurants affected include more than 50 Dunn Brothers coffee shops
across Minnesota, many of them in the Twin Cities metro. You can find
a full list of the specific stores affected here.

Other Minnesota establishments impacted include:

– Burger Jones, Burnsville.

– Casa Rio, Anoka.

– Charlie's Sports Bar & Grill, Becker.

– Chino Latino, Minneapolis.

– Hopper's Bar & Grill, Waconia.

– Pittsburgh Blue, Maple Grove.

– Sebastian Joe's, Minneapolis.

Those who used a credit card between the Jan. 3 and 24 are advised to
keep an eye out on their accounts for unusual activity.
